Over a decade ago, Krista Skidmore envisioned a new kind of consulting firm, one that would offer services and products to meet the needs of an evolving business landscape, where creative thinking and deep subject-matter expertise would lead to innovative and effective solutions for clients. Krista combined her energies and drive with Andrea Cranfill's to start FlashPoint.
Years later, still envisioning great things for our company, Krista leads our firm as we serve an ever-increasing number of clients in an expanding geographic footprint. As principal, she casts our vision, develops and implements FlashPoint’s strategic plans, sustains our values-driven culture, and ensures that we continue to serve our clients with intelligence and integrity. Because of her experience, Krista is in an ideal position to share her knowledge with others, and she does this readily. Even as she leads FlashPoint, Krista continues to work with clients on complex, large-scale projects, helping them to define their talent management strategy, develop competitive compensation programs, and build capable processes designed to maximize company and individual performance.
The impact Krista has had on organizations is immense. Her strong listening skills, solid understanding of business principles, ability to analyze and interpret complex situations, and openness to innovation have enabled her to serve as a trusted adviser to many. Metrics show that her recommendations have helped companies to save millions of dollars in costs and to witness record profits.
Krista doesn’t share her talents with only FlashPoint's clients. She is also deeply committed to moving the community forward through her board and committee leadership, as well as driving our FlashPoint team to give back hundreds of hours annually to local nonprofit charitable organizations and community projects.
Before FlashPoint
Krista worked within the HR consulting industry, both for her own firm and in a leadership capacity for another regional consulting company. Her work centered on leadership development, management training, performance management, and employee relations. Prior to consulting, Krista worked in recruiting for CBS Personnel Services and in the HR department of a municipality in Pennsylvania.
