With a broad background in marketing and communications, Joellyn Detjen helps tell FlashPoint’s story through traditional communication, digital marketing, social media, and more. Joellyn develops and implements our marketing plan, works to strengthen the FlashPoint brand, analyzes market intelligence and metrics, builds partner relationships, and contributes to new business. She equips our consultants with relevant news and information to help them connect with clients and add value to our working relationships.
Joellyn brings a creative outlook to the FlashPoint team, ensuring that innovative marketing plans and activities strengthen our service to clients. She’s always searching for interesting angles to help target audiences understand how we can help them meet their business goals. Before FlashPoint
Joellyn has been an account service manager in an agency setting, participating in all aspects of the marketing communications process, including audience assessment, strategy, concept/thematic development, copywriting, creative design, and production (print, electronic, and interactive). She also worked at Riley Children’s Foundation, where she created a speakers bureau and traveled throughout Indiana, inspiring people to strengthen their support of the state’s only comprehensive children’s hospital, Riley Hospital for Children.

Interesting Facts about Joellyn
- Joellyn and her husband have one daughter who is a fantastic source of joy and entertainment!
- She has a background in broadcasting. She once served as the midday radio personality for Indianapolis’s 88.3 FM WHZN and as a volunteer radio producer and host for Spotlight Indianapolis on the city’s 1070 AM WIBC.
- She loves vintage costume jewelry. Her collection started with pieces selected from her great-aunt Jean’s estate (most were handmade by her great-uncle Al). She also has necklaces from her mom circa the ’50s and items she has found while antiquing.
